Within an overall restructuring plan for the Tavistock Square headquarters, our role was to design a relocated library space which would embrace technology, support the British Medical Association's changing needs and reflect its increasingly diverse membership. The space needed to be welcoming, dynamic and user-friendly, to encourage members to engage with the library facilities and staff. The result was a contemporary, light and inviting space which is proving much more popular than the previous library, despite being moved away from its previous central location. The design encourages flexible use and social interaction.
