The Environment Agency has moved into Horizon House, Britain's greenest building, achieving the highest score ever awarded by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) for its environmental credentials. More than 1,000 staff from 3 offices in Bristol and Bath were brought together, helping to achieve their aim of significantly reducing the impact of commuter and business travel. Harmsen worked with the Agency to review their current working practices and to use the opportunity to design a workplace that supports flexible ways of working, where space and energy are used efficiently. We worked closely with the Environment Agency to ensure that all materials and products were carefully specified to meet sustainability criteria.
