IOP Publishing is one of the largest and most dynamic publishers of scientific information in the world. The Harmsen team was keen to communicate the benefits that a new work environment would bring to IOP Publishing. Bespoke research was carried out to engage with the 280 staff involved and gain valuable insight into the culture and inter-team dependencies of the business. The new space reflects the forward-thinking nature of IOP Publishing,supporting communication and connectivity between the departments, whilst also connecting with the history and global reputation of the company. An impressive staircase connects the two floors and aids collaboration between teams; it also acts as a focal point, incorporating a library and break-out area.
